Dr. Chloe O’Brien OSTEOPATH B.App.Sc.(Comp. Med.) M.Osteo

I graduated from RMIT University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Clinical Science (complementary medicine) and a Masters of Osteopathy. With over 12 years experience working in and around Melbourne I have had the opportunity to treat a wide variety of patients and have developed a particular interest in treating babies and children.

I have a very gentle approach to treatment and recognise that when functioning freely, without restrictions or stresses of anatomy and physiology, the body will naturally move towards a state of health. The emphasis of my treatment is always on working with these principles of osteopathy to find and treat the cause of my patient’s complaint. In babies, this most often relates to tensions induced during the birth process.

Since graduating, I have completed several courses in Australia, Switzerland, Canada and the USA. These include: A Biodynamic approach to osteopathy in the cranial field: phases I-V; A Biodynamic approach to the treatment of children: Phases I-II; An osteopathic approach to pregnancy and newborns; and Spinning Babies workshops. I also have further training in paediatric bowel & bladder conditions, Orofacial Myology and I am currently completing further study in  primitive reflex integration.

My approach to treatment is always very gentle and non-invasive and many bubs (and sometimes adults) even fall asleep during their appointment.
